The elephant is the biggest animal, but he never rules over the jungle. Fox is the smartest animal, but he can never rule over the jungle as well.

Then who rules the jungle? Well, we all know it is a lion, a fearless predator. What made the lion king of the jungle and not other animals? Surely, he isn’t the cleverest animal nor is he the biggest of them all.

What abilities does a lion possess that others don’t? Abilities that make him the King of the Jungle. He is a champion, a risk-taker, a fighter, bold, and, above all, unstoppable. He takes the opportunity when he sees it. The way the lion thinks makes him more dangerous than others.

 

The Story of a 12-Year-Old

 Hi… I’m Mellisa, CEO of Crave Happy.

Let me tell you the story of a 12-year-old girl who grew up in her grandma's apartment. She plays with her cousins and had an amazing childhood. I watched my cousin draw and sketch.

As a 12-year-old, I  started to do artwork and fell in love with it. I never had a proper mentor to guide me in my artwork. I spent hours practicing artwork and designing cartoons. At that time, when I saw others doing artwork, my passion for artwork always grew. My artwork finally took shape when a special education teacher guided me through different techniques of sketching. This is where my artwork took off.

As I went to college, I started a side hustle around my artwork.

 

Here to Rule Over the Graphic T-Shirt Jungle

Like a lion, I’m here to rule the jungle of graphic t-shirts.

In 2018, in keeping with my love for artwork, I decided to start a t-shirt and hoodie company.

The name of the company has its own origins. I wanted to name this company something that reminds me of my childhood.

In my childhood, every weekend, an ice cream truck came to my neighborhood. I used to buy delicious Bugs Bunny ice cream from that truck. That was my favorite, and I miss it every week when I can’t have that ice cream. I used to crave that, and when I have it, it makes me happy. For a child, getting that ice cream was like getting the whole world. So I made my company Crave Happy.

The logo of Crave Happy is also inspired by that ice cream truck. I work hard to establish Crave Happy (my baby).

After more than four years in business and working on my passion, I still believe it was my love of art that caused me to Crave Happy, but could it have been something else?

I try to answer this question this way: I started this brand to tell the stories of people through my graphic t-shirts. I established Crave Happy to create a story of my own.

Our customer described our shirts as "old school with a new flare." Crave Happy crafts comfortable, well-made, and relaxing t-shirts for people that last longer than you expect. Our graphics and embroidery on t-shirts, hoodies, long sleeves, hats, bottoms, and accessories are made up of top-quality material and relax as you wear them.
